DTC B1659-13: Inspection

EXT_F+, EXT_F- Open Wire Inspection 

Test Procedure 

• Preparation
  • Front interior LF antenna connector (2P): disconnected
  • Body control module connector C (66P): disconnected
• Procedure
  • Perform the inspection according to the following chart.

			(Disconnected) Front interior LF antenna connector (2P) female terminals	(Disconnected) Body control module connector C (66P) female terminals

	EXT_F+ open wire inspection	OFF			There is less than 1 Ohms
	EXT_F- open wire inspection	OFF			There is less than 1 Ohms

Results 

• If abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.

EXT_F+, EXT_F- Shorted Wire Inspection 

Test Procedure 

• Preparation
  • Body control module connector C (66P): disconnected
  • Front interior LF antenna connector (2P): disconnected
• Procedure
  • Perform the inspection according to the following chart.

			(Disconnected) Body control module connector C (66P) female terminals

	EXT_F+, EXT_F- shorted wire to wire inspection	OFF		There is more than 1 MOhms

Results 

• If abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.

Body Control Module Inspection 

Preconditions 

NOTE:  This procedure can be done before any other inspections are completed because this test procedure includes all of the following inspection items. However, if this test fails, it will be necessary to continue with each inspection item individually to determine which item failed.

• External circuit is normal

Test Procedure 

• Preparation
  • Body control module connector C (66P): connected
  • Front interior LF antenna/initiator connector (2P): disconnected
• Procedure
  • Perform the inspection according to the following chart.

			(Disconnected) Front interior LF antenna connector (2P) female terminals

*1: If the matter whether the vehicle mode ON or OFF (LOCK) because of the permanent power supply.

	Module internal circuit inspection	ON*1		Voltage

*1: If the matter whether the vehicle mode ON or OFF (LOCK) because of the permanent power supply.

Results 

• If it is abnormal, there is a problem with the body control module.

Front Interior LF Antenna Inspection 

Test Procedure 

• If the other inspection item(s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining front interior LF antenna is the cause.

Results 

• There is a problem with the front interior LF antenna.
