DTC P0643: Inspection
VCC1, VCC2, VCC3, VCC4 Shorted Wire Inspection
NOTICE:
Before disconnecting the PCM connector, jump the SCS line with the HDS, and wait more than 1 minute.
Test Procedure
- Preparation
- PCM connector B (72P): disconnected
- PCM connector E (114P): disconnected
- CKP sensor connector (3P): disconnected
- MAP sensor connector (3P): disconnected
- Fuel rail pressure sensor connector (3P): disconnected
- Engine oil pressure sensor connector (3P): disconnected
- Throttle body connector (6P): disconnected
- APP sensor connector (6P): disconnected
- Procedure
- Perform the inspection according to the following chart.
Refer to the Open/Shorted Wire Inspection Description for the method to inspect the shorted circuit below, then start to inspect according to circumstances.
- Perform the inspection according to the following chart.
| (Disconnected) PCM connector B (72P) female terminals | (Disconnected) PCM connector E (114P) female terminals |

Normal Conditions | ||
| VCC1 shorted to power inspection | ON | Not shorted | |||
| VCC2 shorted to power inspection | ON | Not shorted | |||
| VCC3 shorted to power inspection | ON | Not shorted | |||
| VCC4 shorted to power inspection | ON | Not shorted |
Results
- If abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.
PCM Inspection
Preconditions
NOTE: This procedure can be done before any other inspections are completed because this test procedure includes all of the following inspection items. However, if this test fails, it will be necessary to continue with each inspection item individually to determine which item failed.
- External circuit is normal
