DTC P0332: Inspection

Knock Sensor 2 (Bank 2) Inspection 

NOTE:  Since there is no direct method to test the component itself, troubleshooting is performed on the related components.

Test Procedure 

Unit output voltage inspection

• Preparation
  • Knock sensor 2 (Bank 2) connector (2P): disconnected

• Procedure
  • Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
  • Confirm the HDS [Knock Sensor (Circuit Diag)-B2].

• Normal Conditions
  • HDS [Knock Sensor (Circuit Diag)-B2] value is about 5.0 V. 

Results 

• If it is normal, there is a problem with knock sensor 2 (Bank 2).
• If it is abnormal, there is a problem with other related components.

KSB2, KSSGB2 Shorted Wire Inspection 

NOTICE:  

Before disconnecting the PCM connector, jump the SCS line with the HDS, and wait more than 1 minute.

Test Procedure 

• Preparation
  • Knock sensor 2 (Bank 2) connector (2P): disconnected
  • PCM connector E (114P): disconnected
• Procedure
  • Perform the inspection according to the following chart.

			(Disconnected) Knock sensor 2 (Bank 2) connector (2P) female terminals
		IG Mode	Courtesy of HONDA, U.S.A., INC.	Normal Conditions
	KSB2, KSSGB2 shorted wire to wire inspection	OFF		There is more than 1 MΩ
	Refer to the Open/Shorted Wire Inspection Description for the method to inspect the shorted circuit below, then start to inspect according to circumstances.
	KSB2 shorted to ground inspection	OFF		There is more than 1 MΩ

Results 

• If it is abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.

PCM Inspection 

Test Procedure 

• If the other inspection item(s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining PCM is the cause.

Results 

• There is a problem with the PCM.
