DTC P0328: Inspection
Knock Sensor 1 (Bank 1) Inspection
NOTE: Since there is no direct method to test the component itself, troubleshooting is performed on the related components.
Test Procedure
Unit output voltage inspection
- Preparation
- Knock sensor 1 (Bank 1) connector (2P): disconnected
- Procedure
- Jump the knock sensor 1 (Bank 1) connector (2P) terminals No. 1 and No. 2 with a jumper wire.
- Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
- Confirm the HDS [Knock Sensor (Circuit Diag)-B1].
| (Disconnected) Knock sensor 1 (Bank 1) connector (2P) female terminals | |
|
|
- Normal Conditions
- HDS [Knock Sensor (Circuit Diag)-B1] value is about 0 V .
Results
- If it is normal, there is a problem with knock sensor 1 (Bank 1).
- If it is abnormal, there is a problem with other related components.
KSB1, KSSGB1 Circuit Inspection
NOTICE:
Before disconnecting the PCM connector, jump the SCS line with the HDS, and wait more than 1 minute.
Test Procedure
- Preparation
- Knock sensor 1 (Bank 1) connector (2P): disconnected
- PCM connector E (114P): disconnected
- Procedure
- Perform the inspection according to the following chart.
| (Disconnected) Knock sensor 1 (Bank 1) connector (2P) female terminals | (Disconnected) PCM connector E (114P) female terminals | ||||
| IG Mode |
|
|
Normal Conditions | ||
| KSB1 open wire inspection | OFF | There is less than 1 Ω | |||
| KSSGB1 open wire inspection | OFF | There is less than 1 Ω | |||
| KSB1 shorted to power inspection | ON | Not shorted | |||
Results
- If it is abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.
PCM Inspection
Test Procedure
- If the other inspection item(s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining PCM is the cause.
Results
- There is a problem with the PCM.
