DTC P0122: Inspection
TP Sensor A Inspection
NOTE: Since there is no direct method to test the component itself, troubleshooting is performed on the related components.
Test Procedure (Step 1)
Unit output voltage inspection
- Preparation
- Throttle body connector (6P): disconnected
- Procedure
- Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
- Confirm the HDS [TP Sensor A].
- Normal Conditions
- HDS [TP Sensor A] value is about 5.0 V.
Test Procedure (Step 2)
- Preparation
- Throttle body connector (6P): disconnected
- Procedure
- Perform the inspection according to the following chart.
| (Disconnected) Throttle body connector (6P) female terminals |
| IG Mode |
|
Normal Conditions | ||
| Unit output voltage inspection | ON | About 5.0 V | ||
Results
- If it is normal, there is a problem with the throttle body.
- If it is abnormal, there is a problem with other related components.
VCC3, THL1, SG3 Circuit Inspection
NOTICE:
Before disconnecting the PCM connector, jump the SCS line with the HDS, and wait more than 1 minute.
Test Procedure
- Preparation
- Throttle body connector (6P): disconnected
- PCM connector E (114P): disconnected
- Procedure
- Perform the inspection according to the following chart.
| (Disconnected) Throttle body connector (6P) female terminals | (Disconnected) PCM connector E (114P) female terminals |
| IG Mode |
|
|
Normal Conditions | ||
| VCC3 open wire inspection | OFF | There is less than 1 Ω | |||
| VCC3, SG3 shorted wire to wire inspection | OFF | There is more than 1 MΩ | |||
| THL1, SG3 shorted wire to wire inspection | OFF | There is more than 1 MΩ | |||
| VCC3 shorted to ground inspection | OFF | There is more than 1 MΩ | |||
| THL1 shorted to ground inspection | OFF | There is more than 1 MΩ | |||
Results
- If abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.
PCM Inspection
Test Procedure
- If the other inspection item(s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining PCM is the cause.
Results
- There is a problem with the PCM.
