DTC P05AF: Inspection

Shutter Grille Visual Inspection 

Test Procedure 

• Procedure
  • Check for condition (damage, foreign material, etc.) on the shutter grille.

• Normal Conditions
  • There is no damage or foreign material on the shutter grille.

Results 

• If it is abnormal, there is a problem with the shutter grille condition. Reassemble or repair it if needed.

Shutter Grille Inspection 

Test Procedure 

• If the other inspection item(s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining shutter grille is the cause.

Results 

• There is a problem with the shutter grille.

+B_SHUTTER_GRILL(10A), GND Circuit Inspection 

Test Procedure 

• Preparation
  • Shutter grille connector (4P): disconnected
• Procedure
  • Perform the inspection according to the following chart.

			(Disconnected) Shutter grille connector (4P) female terminals
		IG Mode	Courtesy of HONDA, U.S.A., INC.	Normal Conditions
	+B_SHUTTER_GRILL(10A) circuit inspection	OFF		12 V battery voltage [circuit type 1]
	GND open wire inspection	OFF		There is less than 1 Ω

Results 

• If it is abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit. Also check for the shutter grille subharness.

  If the power supply inspection of the above table showed abnormally, do the additional Power Supply Inspection , to locate the failure.
