DTC P006A: Inspection
Intake Air System, EVAP System, PCV System Visual Inspection
Test Procedure
- Procedure
- Check the condition at the connections or for any damage at the following:
* Air cleaner housing
* Purge (PCS) line
* Breather line
* PCV valve
* PCV hose
* All parts through the throttle body
- Check the condition at the connections or for any damage at the following:
- Normal Conditions
- Conditions at the connections are OK, and there is no damages.
Results
- If it is abnormal, there is a problem with the EVAP system, the intake air system, and/or the PCV system component(s).
MAP Sensor Inspection
NOTE: Since there is no direct method to test the inspection item, troubleshooting is performed using a known-good component.
Test Procedure
- Install a known-good MAP sensor and attempt to reproduce the failure.
Results
- If the failure is reproduced, there is a problem with other related components.
- If the symptom/DTC goes away, the MAP sensor must be faulty.
MAF Sensor/IAT Sensor Inspection
Test Procedure
- If the other inspection item(s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining MAF sensor/IAT sensor is the cause.
Results
- There is a problem with MAF sensor/IAT sensor.
