Confirmation Procedure

Perform the following procedures in order. If the failure is duplicated, the confirmation procedure is completed.

• Procedure 1
  • Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
  • Do the HDS [EX-VTC].
  • If the HDS [EX-VTC] result is not OK, the failure is duplicated.

• Procedure 2
  • Start the engine.
  • Hold the engine speed at 3,000 rpm without load (in P or N) until the radiator fan comes on.
  • Test-drive the vehicle at a steady speed between 25 - 75 mph (40 - 120 km/h) for 10 minutes.
