Confirmation Procedure

Perform the following procedures in order. If the failure is duplicated, the confirmation procedure is completed.

• Procedure 1
  1. Start the engine and let it idle without load (in P or N).
  2. If the HDS [AF FB (ST Fuel Trim)] value is more than 1.32, the failure is duplicated.

• Procedure 2
  1. Review the HDS [On-board snapshot] and record the value of [AF FB (ST Fuel Trim)] when the DTC P0171 was set.
  2. Test-drive the vehicle under the same conditions when the DTC P0171 was set.
     • Engine Speed
     • Vehicle Speed
     • REL TP Sensor
     • APP Sensor
  3. If the HDS [AF FB (ST Fuel Trim)] value is more than 1.32 while test-driving, the failure is duplicated.
