DTC P0100: Inspection
VCC1, SG1, FGP Circuit Inspection
Before disconnecting the PCM connector, jump the SCS line with the HDS, and wait more than 1 minute.
Test Procedure
- Preparation
- -
MAF sensor/IAT sensor connector (4P): disconnected
- -
PCM connector E (80P): disconnected
- -
- Procedure
- -
Perform the inspection according to the following chart.
- -
| (Disconnected) MAF sensor/IAT sensor connector (4P) female terminals | (Disconnected) PCM connector E (80P) female terminals | ||||
| IG Mode |
|
|
Normal Conditions | ||
| VCC1 open wire inspection | OFF | There is less than 1 Ohm | |||
| SG1 open wire inspection | OFF | There is less than 1 Ohm | |||
| FGP open wire inspection | OFF | There is less than 1 Ohm | |||
| FGP shorted to ground inspection | OFF | There is more than 1 MOhm | |||
| FGP shorted to power inspection | ON | Not shorted | |||
Results
- If abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.
VCC1 Shorted Wire Inspection
Test Procedure
- Preparation
- -
MAF sensor/IAT sensor connector (4P): disconnected
- -
CKP sensor connector (3P): disconnected
- -
Rocker arm oil pressure sensor connector (3P) (USA/Canada models): disconnected
- -
PCM connector E (80P): disconnected
- -
- Procedure
- -
Perform the inspection according to the following chart.
Refer to the Open/Shorted Wire Inspection Description for the method to inspect the shorted circuit below, then start to inspect according to circumstances.
- -
| (Disconnected) MAF sensor/IAT sensor connector (4P) female terminals | ||||
| IG Mode |
|
Normal Conditions | ||
| VCC1 shorted to ground inspection | OFF | There is more than 1 MOhm |
Results
- If abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.
MAF Sensor Inspection
Since there is no direct method to test the inspection item, troubleshooting is performed using a known-good component.
Test Procedure
- Install a known-good MAF sensor/IAT sensor and attempt to reproduce the failure.
Results
- If the failure is reproduced, there is a problem with other related components.
- If the symptom/DTC goes away, the MAF sensor/IAT sensor must be faulty.
PCM Inspection
Test Procedure
- If the other inspection item(s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining PCM is the cause.
Results
- There is a problem with the PCM.
