DTC P0602

DTC P0602  : Boot Mode(Programming Error)

NOTE:
  • Before you troubleshoot, review the General Troubleshooting Information .
  • This code is caused by an electrical circuit problem and cannot be caused by a mechanical problem in the transmission.
  • This DTC is indicated when the TCM update procedure is not completed.
  • Do not turn the vehicle to the other than ON mode while updating the TCM. If you do, the TCM can be damaged.
DTC Description Confirmed DTC Pending DTC Freeze Frame
P0602 Boot Mode(Programming Error)      

DTC (A/T)

  1. TCM check (update)

    - 1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

    - 2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.

    - 3. Update the TCM.

    - 4. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

    - 5. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

    - 6. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS.

    P0602 Boot Mode(Programming Error)      

    Is DTC P0602 indicated?

    YES 

    Replace the TCM .

    NO 

    Update is complete.
