Fuel Leak Check
- Intake Manifold and Intake Manifold Base - Remove
- High Pressure Fuel Pump Cover - Remove
- Fuel Rail Cover - Remove
- Fuel Leak - Check
1. Apply Red Check Spray to the joint of the injectors (A), the fuel rails (B), and the high pressure fuel pump (C). Set the probe of the leak detector (Snap-on Combustible Gas Leak Detector) on the joint. 2. Install the intake manifold base and the intake manifold with original gaskets - Refer to:

Intake Manifold Removal and Installation (2019 2020 2021)NOTE: The intake manifold base and the intake manifold gaskets will be replaced after the fuel leak check.
3. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, but do not start the engine. After the fuel pump runs for about 2 seconds, the low pressure fuel line will be pressurized. Repeat this two or three times, then check for fuel leakage.
4. Start the engine. Hold the engine speed at 4, 000 RPM for 1 minute, and stop the engine.

Intake Manifold Removal and Installation (2019 2020 2021)6. Check for fuel leakage at the joint of the injectors, the fuel rails, and the high pressure fuel pump.

- High Pressure Fuel Pump Cover - Install
- Intake Manifold Base and Intake Manifold - Install. Refer to:
Intake Manifold Removal and Installation or
Intake Manifold Removal and Installation (2019 2020 2021)
NOTE: Install the intake manifold base and the intake manifold with new gaskets.
