Possible Cause

• Output shaft (countershaft) speed sensor line intermittent short to ground
• Output shaft (countershaft) speed sensor line intermittent open (includes a loose or disconnected connector)
• Output shaft (countershaft) speed sensor intermittent failure
• PCM internal circuit failure
