DTC P15C9 : Brake Booster Pressure Sensor A Output Voltage Locked
NOTE:
- Troubleshoot any PGM-FI system DTCs first .
- Before you troubleshoot, review the general troubleshooting information .

DTC (EVPS)
- PGM-FI system DTC check
-1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
-2. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs in the PGM-FI system with the HDS.
DTC Description Confirmed DTC Pending DTC Are any DTCs indicated?
YES
Go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting .
NO
Go to step 2.
- Problem verification
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-2. Press the brake pedal several times to deplete the vacuum.
-3. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
-4. Check the parameter (s) below with the HDS, and start the engine.
Signal Current Conditions Values Unit BRAKE BOOSTER PRESSURE SENSOR (A) Does the value of BRAKE BOOSTER PRESSURE SENSOR A change?
YES
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the brake booster pressure sensor and the PCM. If the freeze data/on-board snapshot of this DTC is recorded, try to reproduce the failure under the same conditions with the freeze data/on-board snapshot .
NO
The failure is duplicated. Go to step 3.
- Vacuum line blockage check
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-2. Press the brake pedal several times to deplete the vacuum.
-3. Press the brake pedal, and hold it, then start the engine.
Does the brake pedal sink?
YES
NO
Check the blockage of the following parts, and replace or repair the blockage part (s).
