DTC U0146 : F-CAN Malfunction (Traction Motor Control Module - CAN Gateway)

DTC (Electric Powertrain)
- Problem verification
-1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
-2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
-3. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-4. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
-5. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS.
DTC Description Confirmed DTC Pending DTC Freeze Frame U0146 F-CAN Malfunction (Traction Motor Control Module - CAN Gateway) Is DTC U0146 indicated?
YES
Go to step 2.
NO
Intermittent failure. The system is OK at this time. If the freeze data/on-board snapshot of this DTC is recorded, try to reproduce the failure under the same conditions with the freeze data/on-board snapshot.
- CAN gateway system DTCs check
-1. Check for CAN gateway system DTCs with the HDS.
DTC Description Confirmed DTC DTC (CAN GATEWAY)
Are any DTCs indicated?
YES
Go to the troubleshooting for CAN gateway system DTC (s) .
NO
Go to step 3.
- Open wire check (F-CAN A_H line, F-CAN A_L line)
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-2. Do the 12 volt battery terminal disconnection procedure .
-3. Disconnect the following connectors.
CAN gateway 16P connector PCU 33P connector -4. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode CAN gateway 16P connector: disconnected PCU 33P connector: disconnected Test point 1 CAN gateway 16P connector (female terminals) No. 3: Test point 2 PCU 33P connector No. 5 Test point 1 CAN gateway 16P connector (female terminals) No. 11: Test point 2 PCU 33P connector No. 6 Is there continuity?
YES
NO
Repair an open in the F-CAN A_H wire or the F-CAN A_L wire between the CAN gateway and the PCU.
