Differential Installation Height Inspection: Inspection

NOTE: Remove all of the old liquid gasket from the sealing surface of the flywheel housing and the transmission housing.

1. Install the differential (A) with the spacers (B) and the shim (C).

1. Set a straight edge (A) on the shim (B).

2. Measure the height

between the transmission housing surface (C) and the shim surface (D).

Measure at three locations, and average the reading.

3. Measure the shim thickness.

Refer to the Parts catalog, then select appropriate shim so the height

is to be the standard value.

Installation Height Standard:
	32.155-32.200 mm (1.26594-1.26771 in)

4. Install the selected shim, then recheck the installation height.
