Countershaft Disassembly and Reassembly: Reassembly

NOTE: 

• Where icon is shown, further information shown below.
• The bearing and the bearing outer race should be replaced as a set.
• Inspect the countershaft bearing thrust clearance whenever the bearing is replaced.
• Apply a light coat of clean ATF on all parts before installation.

	Replace

1. Final Drive Gear - Install

   NOTE:  Make sure the final drive gear is installed in the correct direction.

2. Cotter - Install
3. Cotter Retainer - Install
4. Countershaft Bearing - Install

   1. Install the countershaft bearings (A) until it bottoms using the 40 mm I.D. driver handle, the 30 mm I.D. bearing driver attachment, and a press.
