Motor Control System Description - Overview
For locations of each component on vehicle, refer to Component Location Index .
The motor control system includes the traction motor, generator motor, gear unit, and phase current sensors in the transmission (e-CVT), the motor control module in the power control unit (PCU) that controls the high voltage motors, the cooling system for cooling the PCU interior, the inverter that transforms the motor voltage into an appropriate voltage, and the direct connector pin that connect the high voltage motors to the PCU.
