The power control unit (PCU) monitors the transmission fluid temperature sensor value to prevent malfunction of traction motor and generator motor due to heat generation. If the transmission fluid temperature sensor voltage is excessively low for a set time, the motor control module in the PCU detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.
