The power control unit (PCU) monitors the transmission fluid temperature sensor value to prevent malfunction of traction motor and generator motor due to heat generation. If the signal voltage from the transmission fluid temperature sensor falls below or exceeds a set value for a specified time, the motor control module in the PCU detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.
