Unit Check (Quick Check): HFT/Mic
This diagnosis allows you to independently test the Bluetooth module and the microphone. The Bluetooth module is built into the audio-navigation unit. To properly check the microphones, make sure you are sitting in the driver's seat.
NOTE:
Before this diagnosis, check the response of the TALK button on the audio remote-HFL switch by the Hard Key diagnosis.
- If the Bluetooth Connection Diagnosis shows NG, replace the audio-navigation unit .
- Press the TALK button, and within 5 seconds in a normal voice say "testing" toward the microphone in the roof console. The Mic Level indicator on the screen should momentarily turn green. The test is set to OK by indicating green more than 6 steps. If there is no Mic Level movement when you speak, go to Voice control does not work/respond troubleshooting .
If you select the Transmitter Volume Change icon, the transmitter volume can be selected from three selection (Large, Middle, Small).
