Driving Position Memory
Overview
The driving position memory system (DPMS) can store the driver's seat positions to one of two memorized presets. Drivers can activate the system using the driving position memory switch or the remote.
Memorizing a Seat Position
Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, and move the seat to the desired position.Press and hold the SET button of the driver's position memory switch. A signal beep is heard once and both of the green LEDs begin to flash. Press the No. 1 or No. 2 button to match the remote that is to be used. Then the seat position is memorized and two beeps will be heard. The green LED remains lit, unless the seat is moved from the memorized position.
Memorized Position Recall with the Remotes
After the seat position is memorized, the seat moves to the memorized position when the appropriate remote UNLOCK button is pressed and the driver's door is opened. When the seat moves to the memorized position, the green LED corresponding with that remote stays lit until the position is changed or the vehicle is turned to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
Customization Settings Clear with the Remotes
The customize setting is controlled independently by remotes (Driver 1 and Driver 2).
Failsafe Function
Hardware Failsafe Control
When a CPU problem or an abnormal power supply voltage is detected, a hardware fail-safe control is performed. To prevent a malfunction of the system, each system output load is set to OFF. The hardware failsafe control is released when the system returns to the normal state.
Software Failsafe Control
When any of the data from the B-CAN cannot be received within a specified time, or an unusual combination of the data is recognized, the system moves to the software failsafe mode. The data that cannot be received is forced to a pre-programmed value.
