Symptom 1
When an overcurrent (short circuit current) passes through the IGBT at the voltage control unit (VCU) side, the power control unit (PCU) detects a trouble (SC) with the GDIC function and, at the same time when outputting a failure information (SC) to the high-voltage microcomputer, blocks a gate signal. The failure information (SC) from the GDIC is released after a specified time has elapsed if the failure is restored to normal. If a specified number of SC signals are issued, the motor control module in the PCU detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.
