EPS Symptom Troubleshooting Index

When the vehicle has one of these symptoms, check for a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) with the HDS. If there is no DTC, do the diagnostic procedure for the symptom, in the sequence listed, until you find the cause.

EPS indicator does not come on	-1. Do the gauge self-diagnostic function . -2. Update the EPS control unit if it does not have the latest software , then recheck. If the EPS control unit was updated and the symptom is not presented, troubleshooting is complete. The EPS control unit is updated or already has the latest software, but the symptom still presents, replace the steering column/EPS control unit .
