How to Release Park Lock: Procedure

  1. Front Bulkhead Cover - Remove
  2. Air Intake Tube - Remove

  3. Park Lock - Release

    1. Park the vehicle on level ground, and block all four wheels.

    2. Install the lock release.

    • Before installing the lock release on the transmission, set the lock release to the P position (A) by pulling the pull ring (B) and rotating the bolt head (C) clockwise until it stops.
    • If the lock release is left on the transmission and the engine is started it will set a DTC.

    3. Set the lock release to the N position (A) by rotating the bolt head (B) counterclockwise until it stops.

    4. If you need to return to the P position, set the lock release to the P position (A) by pulling the pull ring (B) and rotating the bolt head (C) clockwise until it stops, then remove the lock release.
