Keyless/Power Door Locks/Security System Description - Components

Door Lock Switches 

The door lock switches are integrated into one unit to the power window master switch, and the front passenger's power window switch.

Door Lock Knob Switch/Door Lock Actuator/Driver's Door Key Cylinder Switch 

The door lock knob switch and the door lock actuator are built into the door latch of each door. The door lock knob switch detects the lock and unlock states of the lock mechanism. The door lock actuator moves the lock mechanism back and forth between the lock and unlock position. The actuator receives lock and unlock commands from the body control module. The driver's door key cylinder switch is included in the driver's door latch assembly. In conjunction with the key cylinder, it detects the lock/unlock of the key cylinder.

Sliding Door Lock Actuator/Sliding Door Lock Knob Switch

Tailgate Release Actuator/Tailgate Closer/Release Motor/Tailgate Latch Switch 

The body control module receives an ON signal from the tailgate outer handle switch, then the body control module outputs a signal to the tailgate release actuator or the tailgate closer/release motor, and the actuator unlocks the tailgate latch. The tailgate latch switch or full latch switch is the ON/OFF switch that detects the opening/closing of the tailgate. If the tailgate release actuator or tailgate closer/release actuator is abnormal, the tailgate may be opened manually with the release lever.

Hood Latch Switch 

The hood latch switch is built into the hood latch, and it detects the opening/closing of the hood.

Door Switch 

The door switch is the ON/OFF switch that detects the opening/closing of the door.
