Engine Oil Pan Removal and Installation: Removal

A/C Compressor - Remove

1. Disconnect the connector (A)

2. Remove the A/C compressor (B).

NOTE:

Do not disconnect the A/C hoses.
Do not bend the A/C hoses excessively.
Move the A/C compressor away to the inner fender side, then hang it with a wire tie.

Oil Pan - Remove

1. Remove the clutch case cover/torque converter cover (A) and the transmission mounting bolts (B).

2. Remove the oil pan mounting bolts.

NOTE: Do not remove the bolt (A), but loosen it until the distance is about 5.0 mm between the oil pan mating surface and the bolt seating surface.

3. Using a 6 x 25 mm bolt (A), temporarily tighten the bolt until it sits on the bottom of the thread.

4. Using a flat blade screwdriver, separate the oil pan from the engine block in the numbered sequence shown.

NOTE: If the numbered sequence is not followed as described, the oil pan will be damaged.

5. Remove the oil pan.
