EPS Symptom Troubleshooting - Steering pull

Steering pull 

NOTE:  The EPS steering assist is disabled and will not work during this test. Use caution and take the appropriate steps to ensure this test can be done safety.

• 1. Motion Adaptive EPS system check:

  - 1. Turn off the Motion Adaptive EPS System operation with HDS.

  MA-EPS Control ON/OFF

  - 2. Test-drive the vehicle.

  Is there steering pull?

  YES 

  Go to step 2.

  NO 

  Do the steering angle sensor neutral position clear .

• 2. EPS system check:

  - 1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

  - 2. Disconnect the following connector.

  EPS control unit connector A (11P)

  - 3. Test-drive the vehicle.

  Is there steering pull?

  YES 

  Make sure the suspension is not modified, and adjust the wheel alignment . Also check the tire pressure, tire size, and for abnormal tread wear.

  NO 

  Replace the steering gearbox .
