DTC 2601: Display Diag. Connect
- Check the vehicle battery condition first.
- Check any official Honda service website for more service information about the navigation system.
- Check for B-CAN DTCs and resolve them before troubleshooting.
- Before you troubleshoot, make sure to follow GENERAL TROUBLESHOOTING INFORMATION .
- Clear the hard error code (see HOW TO CLEAR ERROR HISTORY ).
- Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), then back to ON (II).
- Go into the Diagnostic Menu, and select the Self-Diagnosis Mode in the Select Diagnosis Items menu (see SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC MODE ).
- Check the System Links.
Is the Display icon red?
YES - Go to step 5.
NO - Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. ■
- Check for poor connections or loose terminals at navigation unit connector B (32P), audio unit connector C (14P), USB adapter unit connector A (14P), and XM receiver connector A (14P).
Are there connections OK?
YES - Go to step 6.
NO - Repair poor connections or loose terminals, and recheck the self-diagnostic mode (see SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC MODE ). ■
- Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
- Disconnect navigation unit connector B (32P) and the navigation display unit 28P connector.
- Connect navigation unit connector B (32P) terminals No. 10 and No. 26 with a jumper wire.
- Check for continuity between navigation display unit 28P connector terminals No. 5 and No. 19.
Is there continuity?
YES - Go to step 10.
NO - Open in the wire between navigation unit and the navigation display unit. ■
- Disconnect the jumper wire.
- Disconnect these units connector:
- Audio unit connector C (14P)
- USB adapter unit connector A (14P)
- Rear controller and screen 24P connector (With rear entertainment system)
- XM receiver connector A (14P)
- Check for continuity between navigation display unit 28P connector terminals No. 5 and No. 19, and between terminals No. 3 and No. 17.
Is there continuity?
YES - Repair short in the wire(s). ■
NO - Go to step 13.
- Check for continuity between body ground and navigation display unit 28P connector terminals No. 5 and No. 19 individually.
Is there continuity?
YES - Short to body ground in the wire(s) between the navigation display unit and the navigation unit. ■
NO - Go to step 14.
- Reconnect the all connectors, then turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
- Go into the Diagnostic Menu and select the Self-Diagnosis Mode in the Select Diagnosis Items menu (see SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC MODE ).
- Check the System Links.
Is the Display icon red?
YES - Go to step 17.
NO - Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. ■
- Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
- Disconnect audio unit connector C (14P), and then ignition switch to ON (II).
- Go into the Diagnostic Menu and Select the Self-Diagnosis Mode in the Select Diagnosis Items Menu (see SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC MODE ).
- Check the System Links.
Is the Display icon red?
YES - Go to step 21.
NO - Internal short circuit of audio unit. ■
- Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
- Reconnect audio unit connector C (14P).
- Disconnect XM receiver connector A (14P), and then turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
- Go into the Diagnostic Menu and Select the Self-Diagnosis Mode in the Select Diagnosis Items Menu (see SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC MODE ).
- Check the System Links.
Is the Display icon red?
YES - Go to step 26.
NO - Internal short circuit of XM receiver. ■
- Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
- Disconnect USB adapter unit connector A (14P), and then ignition switch to ON (II).
- Check the System Links.
Is the Display icon red?
YES -
- With rear entertainment system, go to step 29.
- Without rear entertainment system, replace the navigation display unit (see NAVIGATION DISPLAY UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
NO - Internal short circuit of USB adapter unit. ■
- Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
- Disconnect the rear controller and screen 24P connector, and then turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
- Check the System Links.
Is the Display icon red?
YES - Replace the navigation display unit (see NAVIGATION DISPLAY UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ). ■
NO - Internal short circuit of rear controller and screen. ■
