Front Mode Control Motor Replacement

  1. Remove the passenger's dashboard trim (see PASSENGER'S DASHBOARD TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ) and the glove box (see GLOVE BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
  2. Remove the bolt, self-tapping screws, harness clip, and the passenger' s heater duct (A).
    NOTE: Removing the upper side screw, through the hole (B).

  3. Remove the self-tapping screw (A) from the upper side, then remove the self-tapping screw (B) from the lower side, then remove the front mode control motor (C).

  4. Install the motor in the reverse order of removal. Make sure the pin on the motor is properly engaged with the linkage. After installation, make sure the motor runs smoothly.
