Left Tailgate Lower Hinge Replacement

NOTE: Put on gloves to protect your hands.

Remove the tailgate (see TAILGATE SUPPORT CABLE REPLACEMENT ).
With a maker, make reference lines (A) on two sides of the left tailgate lower hinge (B) for reinstallation.

Remove the TORX bolts with a T50 bit, then remove the left tailgate lower hinge (A).

Install the lower hinge in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- Apply multipurpose grease to the checker portion.
- Do the tailgate position adjustment (see TAILGATE INSTALLATION/ADJUSTMENT ).
