Center Console Removal/Installation

Special Tools Required 

KTC Trim Tool Set SOJATP2014*

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations (see COMPONENT LOCATION INDEX ) and the precautions and procedures (see PRECAUTIONS AND PROCEDURES ) before doing repairs or service.

NOTE:
  • Put on gloves to protect your hands.
  • Take care not to scratch the front seats, the dashboard, or the related parts.
  • Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
  1. Remove these items:
  2. Gently pull out the center console trim (A) to detach the clips (B, C) and release the holders (D) from the pins (E), then remove the trim.

  3. Remove the coin holder case (A) and the console mat (B) from the center console (C).

  4. Remove the screws (A, B) and disconnect the front console light connector (C), then detach the harness clip (D).

  5. Disconnect the auxiliary jack connector (see USB ADAPTER HOLDER/AUXILIARY JACK ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT ).
  6. Remove the bolts and detach the harness clip (A), then disconnect the rear console light bulb socket (B) and the console sub harness connector (C).

  7. Carefully slide the center console (A) backward and lift it up, then remove it.

  8. Install the console in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
    • If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
    • Push the clips into place securely.
    • Make sure the connectors are plugged in properly.
    • Before tightening the bolts, make sure the wire harnesses are not pinched.
