Dashboard/Steering Hanger Beam Disassembly/Reassembly

NOTE:

Put on gloves to protect your hands.
Take care not to scratch the dashboard, the body and the other related parts.
Take care not to bend the brackets.

Remove the dashboard/steering hanger beam (see DASHBOARD/STEERING HANGER BEAM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
Remove these items from the dashboard:
- Driver's dashboard lower cover (see FUSE ACCESS PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Center lower trim (see DRIVER'S DASHBOARD UNDERCOVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Instrument panel (see INSTRUMENT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Gauge control module (see GAUGE CONTROL MODULE REPLACEMENT ).
- Audio-navigation unit (with audio-navigation system) (see AUDIO-NAVIGATION UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Passenger's airbag (see FRONT PASSENGER'S AIRBAG REPLACEMENT ).
- Center pocket (see HUMIDITY/IN-CAR TEMPERATURE SENSOR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Audio unit (with audio system) (see AUDIO UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- GPS antenna (with audio-navigation system) (see GPS ANTENNA REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Front tweeters (for some models) (see SPEAKER TEST/REPLACEMENT ).
- Sunlight sensor (see SUNLIGHT SENSOR REPLACEMENT ).
From the front of the dashboard (A), remove the bolts.

From the back of the dashboard (A), detach the harness clips (B) and remove the screws, then separate the dashboard from the steering hanger beam (C).

Remove the screws, then remove the dashboard duct (A) from the dashboard (B).

Assemble the dashboard and steering hanger beam in the reverse order of removal. Make sure the dashboard wire harness is not pinched.
