Driving Position Memory System Description - Components

Power Seat Control Unit/Power Seat Adjustment Switch 

Power seat control unit/power seat adjustment switch is located in the recline cover. It confines the slide, the recline, the height switch, and the control unit.

Slide Motor 

The slide motor moves the driver's seat forward and backward.

The motor is installed in the seat frame.

Front Up-Down/Rear Up-Down Motor 

The front up-down/rear up-down motor adjusts the driver's seat cushion height.

The motor is installed in the seat frame.

Recline Motor 

The recline motor moves the driver's seat-back forward and rearward.

The motor is installed in the seat frame.

Power Seat Position Sensors 

Each motor has a sensor that detects motor rotation and sends a pulse to the power seat control unit when the motor rotates. The control unit stores the number of pulses in its memory, and the seat position is memorized.
