How the Circuit Works: Notes

The immobilizer system is designed to prevent the vehicle from being started without the owner's ignition key. If an attempt is made to start the vehicle with any other key, the immobilizer system disables the vehicle from starting.
The immobilizer system consists of the following:
- Driver's MICU in the driver's under-dash fuse/relay box
- Immobilizer-Keyless Control Unit
- Immobilizer Indicator
- Imoes Unit (built into the driver's MICU)
- Keyless Transmitter
- PCM
- Transponder in the key
