DTC U0038 (99): IMA-CAN Malfunction (BUS-OFF (Motor Control Module (MCM))) (IMA System): General Description

The integrated motor assist-controller area network (IMA-CAN) transmits/receives pulsing signals to/from the control modules simultaneously by using two signal lines (IMACAN H and IMACAN L). When the motor control module (MCM) does not receive the signals via the IMA-CAN lines for a set time, the MCM detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.
