Transmission Mount Bracket Replacement
- Do the 12 volt battery removal procedure (see 12 VOLT BATTERY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ).
- Remove the air cleaner (see AIR CLEANER ELEMENT INSPECTION/REPLACEMENT ).
- Disconnect the ECM/PCM connectors (A).
- Remove the harness clamps (B), auxiliary under-hood relay box A (C), and the ECM/PCM (D).
- CVT model: Remove the harness clamp (E).
- Support the transmission with a jack and a wood block under the transmission.
- Remove the ground cable (A) and the harness holder

- Remove the transmission mount bolts (C) and nuts (D), then remove the transmission mount bracket (E).
- Install the transmission mount bracket, and loosely install the new transmission mount bracket mounting bolts and nuts.
- Install the harness holder and the ground cable.
- Remove the jack and wood block from under the transmission.
- Raise the vehicle on the lift.
- Loosen the torque rod mounting bolt and nut (A).

- Lower the vehicle on the lift.
- Tighten the transmission mount mounting bolts and nuts in the numbered sequence shown.
- Raise the vehicle on the lift.
- Tighten the torque rod mounting bolt and nut in the numbered sequence shown.

- Lower the vehicle on the lift.
- Install the ECM/PCM with the ECM/PCM bracket. Then connect ECM/PCM connectors A, B, and C.NOTE: ECM/PCM connectors A, B, and C have symbols (A=□, B= , C=◦) embossed on them for identification.
- Install the harness clamps (D) and auxiliary under-hood relay box A (E).
- CVT model: Install the harness clamp (F).
- Do the 12 volt battery installation procedure (see 12 VOLT BATTERY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ).
- Install the air cleaner (see AIR CLEANER ELEMENT INSPECTION/REPLACEMENT ).
- Do the ECM/PCM reset procedure (see IF THE MIL DID NOT STAY ON ).
