Rocker Arm Assembly Installation

- Reassemble the rocker arm assembly (see ROCKER ARM AND SHAFT DISASSEMBLY/REASSEMBLY ).
- Apply new engine oil to the camshaft lobes and journals.
- Install the rocker arm assembly.
- Apply new engine oil to the bolt threads and flange. Tighten each bolt two turns at a time in sequence.
Specified Torque
8 mm Bolts: 22 N.m (2.2 kgf.m, 16 lbf.ft)
8 mm Bolts: (11), (13) 20 N.m (2.0 kgf.m, 14 lbf.ft)
6 mm Bolt: (12) 12 N.m (1.2 kgf.m, 8.7 lbf.ft)
- Install the camshaft sprocket (see CAMSHAFT SPROCKET INSTALLATION ).
- Adjust the valve clearance (see VALVE CLEARANCE ADJUSTMENT ).
