Intake Manifold Removal and Installation: Removal
- Remove the engine cover.

- Remove the air cleaner (see
AIR CLEANER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
).
- Remove the engine wire harness connectors and wire harness clamps from the intake manifold:
- Throttle actuator connector
- MAP sensor connector
- EGR valve connector
- EVAP canister purge valve connector
- Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose (A) and the EVAP canister hose (B).

- Disconnect the EVAP canister purge hose.

- Remove the throttle body without disconnecting the water bypass hoses.

- Remove the harness holder (A) from the intake manifold.

- Disconnect the PCV hose (B).
- Remove the dipstick.
- Remove the intake manifold bracket mounting bolts.

- Remove the intake manifold (A).

- Remove the EGR plate (B).
- Disassemble the intake manifold.
