ATF Cooler Hose Replacement

  1. Drain the automatic transmission fluid (ATF) (see ATF REPLACEMENT ).
  2. Install the ATF cooler hoses over the ATF cooler lines, and secure the hoses with the clips as shown in the details (A) (B) (C) (D), shown in the following figure. Keep the tabs of the clips clear of other parts.

    Details Cooler Hose End Installed Distance of Clip
    A Contacts the bulge on the line Between clip end and hose end:6-8 mm (0.24-0.31 in)
    B Contacts the bulge on the line of the ATF cooler Between clip end and hose end:2-4 mm (0.08-0.16 in)
    C Contacts the ATF filter housing (both sides) Between clip end and ATF filter housing (both sides): 6-8 mm (0.24-0.31 in)
    D Contacts the bracket on the line Between clip end and hose end:6-8 mm (0.24-0.31 in)
  3. Refill the transmission with ATF (see (see step  6 ).
