Oil Pump Overhaul: Installation

Clean the O-ring groove and the mating surface of the engine block.
Install the oil pump (A) with a new O-ring (B).

Install the oil screen (C) with a new gasket (D).
Install the oil pan (see CKP PULSE PLATE REPLACEMENT ).
Support the engine with a jack and a wood block under the oil pan.
Remove the engine hanger and support eyelet, then tighten the alternator mounting bolt.

Install the cam chain (see CAM CHAIN INSTALLATION ).
Remove the jack and the wood block from under the oil pan.
Install the under-cowl panel.
Refill the engine with engine oil (see ENGINE OIL REPLACEMENT , and ENGINE OIL LEVEL CHECK ).
