Canada Models: Removal
NOTE:
The imoes unit is built into the MICU which is part of the under-dash fuse/relay box. You must register the imoes unit when replacing the under-dash fuse/relay box, or the engine will not start.
- Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure (see BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION AND RECONNECTION ).
- Remove the driver's dashboard undercover (see DRIVER'S DASHBOARD LOWER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Remove the fuse access panel (see FUSE ACCESS PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Disconnect the connectors from the front side of the under-dash fuse/relay box (A).
- Remove the nuts (B), then remove the stud bolts (C) using the double nuts (D), then remove the terminal (E).
- Release the lock (F) and pull the fuse/relay box away from the body.
- Disconnect the connectors from the back side of the under-dash fuse/relay box, then remove the under-dash fuse/relay box.
- Carefully remove the relays using the relay puller (for removal see POWER RELAY TEST ).
NOTE:
Do not use pliers. Pliers will damage the relays, which could cause the engine to stall or not start or cause other function to fail.
