Driver's Power Seat Motor Test

NOTE:

) before doing repairs or servicing.
- Remove the driver's seat (see FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Disconnect the 6P or 5P connector from each power seat motor.NOTE:
- For the recline motor, remove the seat-back cover.
- 4-door (see 4-DOOR )
- 2-door (see FRONT SEAT-BACK COVER REPLACEMENT )
- The illustration shows 4-door model.
- For the recline motor, remove the seat-back cover.
- Test each motor by connecting power and ground according to the table. When the motor stops running, disconnect battery power immediately.
- If the motor does not run or fails to run smoothly, replace:
- Slide motor (see FRONT SEAT SLIDE MOTOR REPLACEMENT )
- Front up-down motor/seat frame (see FRONT SEAT FRAME REPLACEMENT - DRIVER'S SEAT )
- Rear up-down motor/seat frame (see FRONT SEAT FRAME REPLACEMENT - DRIVER'S SEAT )
- Recline motor (see FRONT SEAT RECLINE MOTOR REPLACEMENT )
NOTE:
The front and rear up-down motors are part of the seat frame.
