DTC P1673 (22): Motor Control Module (MCM) Relay Stays Activated: General Description

The motor control module (MCM) commands MCM relay 1 to turn ON or permit it to turn OFF. Normally, when MCM relay 1 is OFF, the MCM is in sleep mode. When the MCM remains powered even when the MCM commands MCM relay 1 to turn OFF for a specified duration, a malfunction is detected and a DTC is stored.
