J35A6 engine, J35A7 engine ('07 model)

  1. Move the auto-tensioner to remove tension from the drive belt, then remove the belt (See DRIVE BELT AUTO-TENSIONER INSPECTION ).
  2. Remove the crankshaft pulley; J35A6 engine (See CRANKSHAFT PULLEY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ), J35A7 engine (See CRANKSHAFT PULLEY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ).
  3. Remove the upper and lower front covers from the engine; J35A6 engine (see step 9 TIMING BELT INSTALLATION ), J35A7 engine (see step 9 TIMING BELT INSTALLATION ).
  4. Remove the CKP sensor (A) from the oil pump.

  5. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
  6. Do the CKP pattern clear/CKP pattern learn procedure (see CKP PATTERN CLEAR/CKP PATTERN LEARN ).
