Rear Safing Sensor Replacement: Installation

  1. Install the rear safing sensor (A) with the new TORX bolt (B) using a TORX T30 bit, and tighten the TORX bolt to the specified torque.

  2. Connect the rear safing sensor 2P connector (C) on the left side wire harness.
  3. Install the cover (D), then tighten the mounting bolts (E) to the specified torque.
  4. Reinstall the carpet (A), and install the clips (B).

  5. Do the battery terminal reconnection procedure (see BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION AND RECONNECTION ).
  6. Clear any DTCs with the HDS (see HOW TO CLEAR DTCS  ).
  7. Confirm proper SRS operation: Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), and check that the SRS indicator comes on for about 6 seconds and then goes off.
  8. Install the center upper pivot cover (see step 6 on THIRD ROW SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
  9. Install the left and right upper pivot cover (see step 5 on THIRD ROW SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
  10. Install the center lower pivot cover (see step 3 on THIRD ROW SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
  11. Install the left and right lower pivot cover (see step 2 on THIRD ROW SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
