OPEN/CLOSE function of the display does not work

Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
Disconnect the navigation display connector B (10P) and audio disc changer connector A (18P).
Check for continuity between navigation display connector B (10P) terminal No. 10 and body ground.

Is there continuity?

YES - Repair short in the wire between navigation display connector B (10P) terminal No. 10 and audio disc changer.

NO - Go to step 4.
Substitute a known-good navigation display, and check to see if the display opens and closes normally.
Does the display work normally?

YES - Replace the navigation display NAVIGATION DISPLAY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).

NO - Replace the audio disc changer XM RECEIVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
