Hazard Warning Switch: Inspection

  1. INSPECT HAZARD WARNING SWITCH 
    1. Check the resistance.
      1. Measure the resistance using an ohmmeter, and check the results in accordance with the value(s) in HAZARD WARNING SWITCH .

        Standard 

        HAZARD WARNING SWITCH

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        7-9 OFF 10 k or higher
        7-9 ON Below 1
        10-11 Illumination circuit Below 1

        If the result is not as specified, replace the hazard warning signal switch assembly.

    2. Check the illumination operation.
      1. Connect the battery positive (+) lead to terminal 11 and the battery negative (-) lead to terminal 10, then check that the illumination comes on.

        Standard: Illumination comes on. 

        If the illumination does not come on, replace the bulb.
