Headlight Dimmer Switch: Inspection

- INSPECT HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH ASSEMBLY
- Check the resistance of the light control switch.
- Measure the resistance using an ohmmeter, and check the results in accordance with the value(s) in LIGHT CONTROL SWITCH .
Standard
LIGHT CONTROL SWITCHTester Connection Condition Specified Condition - OFF 10 k or higher 12-18 TAIL Below 1 12-18-20 HEAD Below 1 If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight dimmer switch assembly.
- Measure the resistance using an ohmmeter, and check the results in accordance with the value(s) in LIGHT CONTROL SWITCH .
- Check the resistance of the headlight dimmer switch.
- Measure the resistance using an ohmmeter, and check the results in accordance with the value(s) in HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH .
Standard
HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCHTester Connection Condition Specified Condition 11-12-17 FLASH Below 1 12-16 LOW BEAM Below 1 11-12 HI BEAM Below 1 If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight dimmer switch assembly.
- Measure the resistance using an ohmmeter, and check the results in accordance with the value(s) in HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH .
- Check the resistance of the turn signal switch.
- Measure the resistance using an ohmmeter, and check the results in accordance with the value(s) in TURN SIGNAL SWITCH .
Standard
TURN SIGNAL SWITCHTester Connection Condition Specified Condition 12-13 Right turn Below 1 - Neutral 10 k or higher 12-15 Left turn Below 1 If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight dimmer switch assembly.
- Measure the resistance using an ohmmeter, and check the results in accordance with the value(s) in TURN SIGNAL SWITCH .
- Check the resistance of the light control switch.
