REVISION SUMMARY

Under WARRANTY CLAIM INFORMATION, the flat rate time was changed.

SYMPTOM

The MIL comes on with DTC P0600 (serial communication link malfunction).

PROBABLE CAUSE

When the ignition switch is on for about 4 or more hours (engine running or not), the ECM can misinterpret the serial communication signal and set DTC P0600.

CORRECTIVE ACTION

Update the PGM-FI software with the HDS.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

Update the PGM-FI software with the HDS and software version 2.009.007 or later . Refer to Service Bulletin 01-023, REMOTE TRANSMITTER DOES NOT WORK .
